Starting with the riser, which minimizes rotational translation, the Concept X 40 provides superior control and accuracy. The riser is nearly 3 inches longer than the Stratos, making it the longest Hoyt riser ever produced. This extra length reduces unwanted movement, improving shot consistency across various arrow spines and diameters. Combined with the TXL limbs, which offer the highest level of torsional stability ever seen in a Hoyt target limb, this bow ensures a stable and forgiving shot every time.

At the heart of the Concept X 40 is the SCTR cam system, which represents over two decades of Hoyt’s cam development. This system offers full-draw adjustability, allowing archers to fine-tune draw length, holding weight, and valley with unparalleled precision. The SCTR cams deliver drag race speeds of 327 FPS (ATA), ensuring fast, accurate shots. The bow also includes new CDM mods, which maximize efficiency across a rotating, draw-length adjustable module, and SPEC mods, which allow for exact draw length adjustments of +/- 0.25”.

Hoyt’s Modular Grip System further enhances the customization options of the Concept X 40. Archers can choose from a range of grip plates—0°, +4°, and +8°, with additional plates that reduce draw length by 1/8". This system allows for fine-tuning the grip angle and draw length without changing the bow’s tune, giving archers full control over their setup.

The Concept X 40 is available in a wide array of colors, including new, bold finishes like Skeeter and Blue on Black. It also comes in matte powder coat options like Blackout, Bourbon, and Wilderness, with additional choices for black or white gloss limbs. Archers can select from limb options such as black satin, white gloss, and black gloss, with an optional upcharge for gloss limbs.

The bow’s technical specifications include a 7.25” brace height and a draw length range of 26” to 32” with SPEC mods, and 27” to 30” with CDM mods. It weighs 4.9 lbs, making it stable but not overly heavy. The Concept X 40 offers let-off options of 65%, 70%, and 75% (or 67.5%, 72.5%, and 77.5% with the Tweener module foot).
